True to Know Collection, we invest in our employees and put our people first. We think growing talent internally is the best way to prosper and succeed in business. It means opportunity, experience, learning and development and a rewarding career in hospitality.
Most successful business owners are aware that talent, in its true sense, is about developing and identifying people with great potential in their own business from its own employees. We choose to grow talent and invest into the development of our people, as we think that’s what makes employees motivated enough to engage in learning new skills and accomplish great things.
It’s borne out of a belief that developing and promoting talent internally sends out a strong message to our employees of their future with us. That’s why we offer people the opportunity to train with us and progress into our future leaders for tomorrow.
We are inviting budding young people to attend our free month-long training school with the opportunity for employment as the end reward. Young people from across Liverpool are to take part in Know Hospitality Academy’s four week fast-track course that will help them to develop transferable skills for their future.
The intensive course will offer unique educational training from fully-qualified higher education tutors as well as a brand-new curriculum, designed by the Know Hospitality team, in conjunction with delivery partners HIT Training Ltd – the UK’s expert hospitality training provider.
As part of the course, trainees will be given a uniform and assigned mentors in the 4-Star, The Richmond Apart Hotel, Best Western Premier Collection, on Hatton Garden and taken through every aspect of the varying roles within the hotel – from housekeeping, to beauty, to bartending to reception to accounts work. The candidates will also receive specialist Best Western Customer Service and Lavazza Branded Barista training.
Trainees will conduct 100 hours on-the-job training and meals will be provided during the course as well as travel expenses. Those wishing to apply must be aged 16 or above. The aim of the course is to place the individual into work or an apprenticeship in hospitality at the end.
Know Collection believe in developing young people, we provide a positive space and energy to allow them to learn the basics and to flourish into motivated team members who pursue a career with us.
